Professional classification and application

For plant retailers, florists and businesses presenting potted plants, this item can be offered as a watering accessory alongside suitable pots, herb containers and plant-care products. It may also be used when preparing plant displays that require a bottle as a water reservoir. Select a pot with enough space for the spike to be placed firmly in the soil without obstructing the plant or other items in the container.

To use it, fill a suitable bottle with water, fit the spike over the bottle opening and insert the pointed end into the soil. The bottle then acts as a water reservoir, with water able to pass from the bottle to the soil. The rate and duration of water supply are not specified and can depend on factors including bottle size and the plant’s water requirements. Check the arrangement with the particular plant and bottle before relying on it, especially before leaving a plant unattended. It is a watering aid and does not replace checking the plant’s water needs.

Use in retail and commercial displays

Display the spike with compatible bottles and potted plants so customers can assess the intended setup. It can be grouped with herb pots, indoor plant containers and other plant-care accessories where the product dimensions and bottle opening can be checked. For a plant presentation, keep the bottle and spike visible in the arrangement to show how the water reservoir is positioned.

For stock organisation, keep the item with plant-watering accessories and protect its pointed end from contact with other goods. No specific storage conditions or cleaning instructions are provided. If preparing several similar plant displays, check each bottle-to-spike fit and confirm that each spike can be placed securely in its pot.
