These Strobus cones are a wonderful example of simple and effective nature decoration. As pine cones, the brownish seed stands are an eye-catcher, but with the delicate paint shining of the beautiful scales of the cones of a Weymouth pine even more and give a perfect basic stock in a Christmas decoration.
Together with a few green fir branches, a few walnuts and four red candles you have quickly made a classic and decorative Advent wreath. But even with the same components, excluding the candles, you can make a beautiful garland for the door frame, the wall or just for the Christmas table.
