Floral Foam Cross for Funeral and Memorial Floristry

This set contains two OASIS® Renewal® Floral Foam Biolit® crosses for creating cross-shaped floral tributes. Each cross, including its base, measures 42 × 26 × 5 cm, and the foam area measures 40.5 × 23.5 cm. The foam is suitable for both soft and hard flower stems and can be cut when dry or wet. When wet, it turns a deep black colour and retains water. These features make the product a floral foam base for arranging flowers in a cross shape for funeral and memorial work.

Professional Classification and Use

The cross-shaped form is intended for floral work where the outline of a cross is part of the design. It can be used for funeral tributes, memorial arrangements and grave decorations. Insert flower stems into the foam and position them along the shape to create a floral design. The stated suitability for soft and hard stems allows different types of flowers to be used in the same arrangement, provided their stems are appropriate for insertion into the foam.

The set includes two pieces, which can be used for two separate arrangements or kept available for another project. Check the overall dimensions against the space planned for the finished tribute. The foam area is smaller than the full base, so use its measurements when estimating the available area for inserting stems and placing flowers.

The product can be cut in either dry or wet condition. When using it wet, take account of the deep black colour that becomes visible and of the foam’s water retention. No information is provided about outdoor weather resistance, so suitability for exposure to rain, frost or other outdoor conditions cannot be confirmed. No cleaning, storage or reuse instructions are specified.

Use in Retail and Commercial Floral Design

For florists, the two-piece set provides a defined cross-shaped base for preparing funeral and memorial work. The fixed dimensions can help when planning the scale of a tribute, arranging workbench space and coordinating the foam cross with flowers and other suitable floral materials. The product may be grouped with funeral floristry supplies, cut flowers and accessories used to assemble floral tributes.

In a shop or workshop, the crosses can be used as the structural base for individual made-to-order pieces or for a coordinated display of cross-shaped arrangements. Keep the overall size and the smaller foam area in mind when selecting flowers and planning stem placement. The source information does not specify storage conditions or whether the foam can be reused, so these points should not be assumed in work planning.
