When the Nigella Orientalis fades, a large, wrinkled fruit cluster remains, whose star-shaped pods, when upside down, resemble small umbrellas or fairy-like figures with wide-swinging skirts.
Use the attractive capsules for dried bouquets and dried flower arrangements in the fall and winter, or in funeral floristry – the stems of the eastern black cumin will attract attention.
A stalk of dried black cumin branches upwards in several tiers, each tipped with a beautiful seed capsule of varying size. The stalk also bears occasional delicate leaf clusters of the bleached, white dried flower.
Combine eastern black cumin with other dried flowers such as thistle teasel, pampas grass, or velvet grass to create attractive bouquets and arrangements, or use them to make enchanting wreaths!
You will receive the natural bleached black cumin as a dried bouquet weighing approximately 100 grams. The stems are approximately 45–60 centimeters long. Each stem contains several seed capsules measuring approximately 1.5–3 centimeters in length.
