The jute cord on the vintage cast iron spool impressively evokes memories of bygone times in the decoration.

The thick, coarse jute cord on the spool is not intended for consumption, but is attached to a metal spindle. The cast iron spool is nice and heavy and decorated at the top with a Bourbon lily, which was once reserved for French kings. In deep dark brown, the metal decoration looks like an old family heirloom and almost antique.

In earlier times, a similar spool of thread was attached to the long mandrel. But you can just as easily lean the decorative spool against an old chest or lay it out on a linen tablecloth as a table decoration.

Together with another decorative thread spool or artificial flowers from our shop, you can create charming antique decorations or kitchen decorations.
