tealight T like table decoration The tealight is a compact and flat candle variant that is usually offered in a tight-fitting aluminum bowl. The tealight gets its name from its most common area of application, where it acts as a small heat donor in warmer to keep tea, coffee and other hot drinks at a high temperature by continuously supplying heat. Due to the very small shape and the close proximity of the wax or paraffin to the burning wick, the risk of melted tea light is particularly high, although this is successfully prevented by the surrounding bowl. Conversely, the slight heating of the aluminum ensures that the entire contents of the tea light liquefy, unlike conventional pillar candles, the wax or paraffin is completely burned without residue. High-quality models of tea lights have a wick holder that keeps them in a straight position until the last moment, thus ensuring that they do not sink into the liquid wax prematurely and become unusable. By heating the bowl, special care must be taken with the tealight; proximity to paper and other flammable materials should be avoided. In the 21st century, tealights are mainly used for decorative purposes in private rooms or church buildings, and as a product of series production, even larger quantities can be purchased at a moderate price.
