Satin is a special fabric form, which is one of the most important fabrics with so-called satin weave. In this basic form of weaving, a permanent shifting of the warp threads takes place, resulting in the finished product on one side of the finished fabric for the visibility of the weft threads and thus a glossy surface depending on the light. The term satin is used in the modern weaving industry for virtually all fabrics that are created as the product of an atlas weave, so satin alone says something about the nature of the production and not about the base material used here. Silk and viscose are some of the most important fibers that are made into satin today. Due to its glossy look, perceived as noble, satin is not used in classic everyday clothing, but rather enriches the fashion world for everything in the eveningwear and lingerie segments. Satin is also valued in the floristry and decoration sector, as it makes possible to aesthetically enhance bouquets and floral arrangements. Depending on the base material, they are made of polyester and compared to the fashion sector.
