Wreath ribbon denotes an additional decoration of floral wreaths, this particular band is mainly used in the funeral floristry. Finally, wreath ribbon is wrapped around a wreath already made and gives it an additional, discreetly colored touch. Modern wreath ribbons are made of silk or moire; paper was used as material for wreath ribbons a century ago. In addition to their additional decoration for a funeral wreath, wreath ribbons are used for practical reasons, to express a special form of sympathy by imprinting the names of the wreath donors and last message for the farewell of the deceased. There are already pre-made wreath ribbons, which are aimed at widows, orphans or other relatives, for example, and which allow for individual sympathy without their own special design. Outside the funeral floristry, Kranzband can also be used, in which case florists or hobbyists opt for a bit more colorful variations. As in many German regions still common today, the wreath band helps in the constriction and esthetic enhancement of straw wreaths that are to express a successful crop year. Wreath ribbons of all kinds can also be used as a simple decorative ribbon for arrangements and wreaths in your own four walls.
