color accent
The term color accent is a term from the general color theory, which is used in the visual arts as well as in floristry. A color accent means the use of a specific color that stands out from the totality of the selected colors or, through the absence of which, the overall impression of a picture or a bouquet is decisively changed. A color accent does not have to mean the dominant color of a bouquet, rather complementary colors are added as accents to this main color in order to significantly increase the aesthetic value. The color accent plays an important role in bouquets which, due to their use, should be dominated by a certain color, for example in black or dark red colors in funeral floristry. In this case, setting a color accent ensures that the entirety of the bouquet is not dominated by the main color alone, which is an appropriate effect both aesthetically and from the symbolic meaning of the bouquet.
