cherub
As a cherub is understood a decorative element in many eras, which has a close relationship to the Christian religion and therefore is increasingly found in churches and chapels. A putto is always portrayed in the shape of a small, curly child, which is sparse and in most cases has a pair of wings. In their optics, putti thus lean on the idea of angels of Catholic or Protestant theology, but do not embody them in an adult form. The mythological figure of the angelic child, whom putti thus represent, can already be found in antiquity, for example in the form of the cubidos, which shoots with arrows at the same time as a small, winged angelic creature. The idea that these childish angels bestowed love and other pleasurable feelings over the centuries could also be found in the Christian religion, so that putting as a donor of happiness and messengers sent from heaven were put into the church architecture of many eras. Today, putti are not only to be found in churches, but are also offered as deco figures in numerous figures, which have a more or less childlike character. Putts are placed here not only in Christian households, but also in supporters of the esoteric and the angel faith, which could develop in this country in recent decades, detached from the Christian religion.
