A bouquet of flowers is a collection of flowers of various species and the associated foliage. The bouquet is one of the most important products of a professional florist and can include both the same flower and a mixture of different flower species. Especially in the latter case, a professional florist applies his knowledge about the numerous types of flowers and thus finds a compilation that not only harmonizes perfectly with each other in color, but also optimally addresses the botanical requirements of the individual plants. In order to allow a bouquet of flowers as long as possible, it is recommended, for example, to combine flowers with a similarly stored water and nutrient requirement. A bouquet of flowers is usually put together in loose form in a modern flower shop and held together solely by a foil or flower silk. If the bunch of flowers is unpacked again in a private environment, the composition of the individual flowers will continue to be cohesive, simply by standing upright in a vase. In this regard, the bouquet of flowers is to be distinguished from a bouquet or container in which the flowers and their accessories have already been connected in advance by the florist with flower binder and similar tools and thus permanently maintain their compact shape.
