The term flower messenger refers to the employee of a flower shop or a professional florist who handles the delivery of bouquets and other plants. Already decades ago, the flower messenger was a firmly established institution, which presented flowers on behalf of another person, for example, for invitations or as a declaration of love. Not infrequently, this spectacle was accompanied by the presentation of a poem or even a piece of music, so that the flower messenger usually had to bring artistic skills. In the 21st century, the requirement profile for a flower messenger is not so great anymore, but its function is still essential today. The modern living environment is characterized by large distances between friends and relatives, so that it is not always possible to appear on special events on site and to present a bouquet of flowers and greetings in person. In this case, the flower messenger is used by modern service providers, who will take care of these tasks, allowing a flower salutation even when the giver is sitting hundreds or thousands of miles away.
