The term flower describes both a specific part of flowers and other plants as well as a period in which this part of the plant unfolds and presents itself in all its glory. The flowering of all flowers and many other plants represents the conclusion of the individual stems or branches and serves primarily the reproduction of the respective plant. In the interior of a flower is the so-called stamp on many flowers, which has the pollen and thus the genetic material of the corresponding plant. For propagation, the flower relies on insects to penetrate the interior of the flower and take some of the pollen with it when refueling the nectar. Other flowers and plant species have evolved more sophisticated reproductive mechanisms and separate, for example, after flowering from their withered petals, which sometimes take on a completely different shape and are then carried away by the wind or simply fall to the ground. All flowers, which rely on the help of insects in their multiplication, try to lure them with a colorful play of colors of the individual flowers, which in the eyes of many people contributes to the aesthetic appearance of the individual flower species. In the case of different plants, the basic form of the individual flowers can be recognized and regarded as aesthetic even if the actual flower has not yet taken place. Conversely, numerous plants develop a flower, even if it is rather inconspicuous and irrelevant in the field of floristry.
