Tüllband is one of the most popular decorative ribbons, which is used in general handicrafts as well as especially in floristry for the design of bouquets and arrangements. Tulle is not the name of a certain substance or a material, but refers to a weaving technique, as can be made of various raw materials a very loose and transparent fabric. Specifically, tulle and other tulle elements are obtained by twisting adjacent warp yarns in pairs, giving the fabric its distinctive structure that creates a shimmering effect when moved. Due to the special structure of the tulle, it is also possible to incorporate patterns and motifs such as floral designs in a tulle ribbon, which nowadays is significantly easier under a machine production than a few decades ago in the manual or semi-automatic production. Due to its semi-translucency, tulle is generally a popular fabric everywhere, where at the same time a transparency and disguise is desired, eg for curtains of all kinds and the production of noble lingerie. On the other hand, in ribbon form, tulle is reserved for use in floristry and decorating, to give flowers, arrangements and decorative shapes a shimmering and light touch of fabric and thus enhance its aesthetics.
