cylinder
The term cylinder is used in various contexts and is also used in floristry and in the decorative area its application. In the original sense, the cylinder describes a geometric shape that provides a circular surface with a third, elongated dimension, creating the ideal basic shape of a tube. Cylinder is also the name of a distinctive hat shape for men, which takes over exactly this tube character and concludes with a circular brim. In decoration and floristry, all objects are called cylinders, which also borrow from this basic form and can thus be used optimally for various areas of application. Glass cylinders, for example, are popular vessels for cut flowers, which themselves have an elongated appearance and whose stems find so perfect space in a cylinder full of water. The basic shape of the cylinder is also established when working with floral foam to create flower arrangements from wet or dried flowers, enabling the creation of small and large columns made of flowers, flowers and other natural decorative elements.
