cut
Cutting is one of the most important tasks of every florist, whereby the professional cutting of many types of flowers is conveyed during the apprenticeship as a florist. As the name implies, cutting is only necessary for cut flowers that are not given to the customer in pots or planters, but are placed as bouquet or bouquet in flower water. The flowers are supplied here only in a very simple way with nutrients on the flower water, with a larger intake of these nutrients ensures that the bouquet retains a fresh and colorful character for a long time. The aim of professional cutting is therefore to maximize the area over which a flower can absorb water and nutrients. The individual flower styles are therefore not cut straight, but rather the largest possible slope is created to exploit the effect mentioned in an optimal way. While amateur florists do the cutting manually with a suitable pair of scissors, the use of deposition machines is established in a professional environment. These not only ensure a uniform and appropriate cut for all cut flowers, but also bring the stems of different types of flowers to a uniform length, which ensures an aesthetic and uniform look of the produced bouquet or bouquet.
