Color triad
The color triad is a term used in modern color theory and deals with the combination of three different colors that, despite their different character, leave a harmonious color impression. The color triad not only plays a role in the visual arts, but also has a high priority in floristry and horticulture. In order to aesthetically design flower beds and other planting areas with different flowers or different types of the same plant, many garden enthusiasts pay attention to the prevalence of a triad. The combination of colors is easier if only two color variants are used, but this condition also limits the aesthetic freedom. With a predominant triad of colors, mixed sowing is also possible, since the growing flowers with their blossom colors are guaranteed to match. In order to find out individually with which two colors a basic color can be optimally combined, the so-called color circle is used, which is an indispensable tool in color theory. Starting from a color, a triangle is to be drawn in this, the other two corner points of the color circle show which hues can be combined with one another in the sense of a triad of colors.
